we leap into those puddles
little ships steering rudders
down, the raindrops flutter
the cold water like cuddles
yellow raincoat, get under
my transparent umbrella
we'll dance, and we'll utter
storms are our teen summer
we'll reconnect with nature
feel the roots wrapping over
our feet, and leaves hover
atop our heads, growing flowers
twist the branches to a bower
'tis our mighty kingdom tower!
we are kids once more, tiny rulers
