the hunger in my stomach
and in my heart
need for food,
or an ache for some
unknown thing

where does one end and the other begin?
they seem like twins
and i a neglectful parent
who doesn't pay enough attention
maybe they are two sides of the same coin.
after all, we call them both "hunger"
