a necessary action to
fill up the emptiness inside your body
take apart a human body, and consume
it, gnaw the flesh from the bones,
lick those bones clean
pick apart every part of the body,
wash everything down with chemicals
until the next meal.
waiting, waiting, waiting
until the need comes again
but is it cannibalism
if you eat yourself alive,
nibble yourself down to the quick
swallow the juices of your heart,
inhale your soul
spit out the neurones in your brain
if your conscience gobbles up
your mind,
if your guilt consumes you
body and soul
swallows you up, never to be seen again
until all that's left are shiny, polished bones
